Many Castle fans already view Nathan Fillion as a Greek god. "I had never done Shakespeare before," Fillion told Collider. "I actually tried to chicken out of it... I had to work a lot of late nights for Castle and there was just so much dialog, too much to memorize."

Fillion went on to explain that he even asked whether Whedon could find a replacement for him, at which point the director told him to "relax"

The star of ABC's Castle has joined on to star as Greek deity Hermes in Fox 2000's sequel Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Sea of Monsters, based on the second book in Rick Riordan's best-selling young-adult book series.
